Needs Are Normal

Needs Are Normal ("we", "us") runs needsarenormal.com. This page explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and who we share it with.

What we collect

Order details. Your name, email address, shipping address, and the items you buy, so we can fulfil and support your order.
Payment details. Card and payment information is collected and processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Account details. If you create an account, your email address and a password hash are stored by our authentication provider, Supabase.
Site usage. Basic technical information such as pages viewed, browser type, and approximate location, plus a cookie that remembers your cart and, when we run them, which version of a page you saw during a design test.

How we use it

To print, ship, and support your orders.
To send order confirmations and shipping updates.
To keep the site secure and understand what is working.
To send product news only if you ask us to, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

Stripe processes payments.
Printful prints and ships orders, so they receive your name, shipping address, and the items ordered.
Supabase hosts our database and accounts.
Vercel hosts the website.
PostHog counts anonymous visits and shopping steps: pages viewed, products viewed or added to a cart, and checkouts started or completed. It sets no cookies and never receives your name, email, address, or payment details.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.

Cookies

We use cookies and browser storage to keep your cart, keep you signed in, and remember test variants. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings. The site works without marketing cookies because we do not use any.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and support obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and any data we are not legally required to keep.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
